Our Fundamentals of Fundraising Seminar in Review

We greatly enjoyed connecting with schools, churches, missions agencies, pregnancy resource centers, and other nonprofits at this year’s Fundamentals of Fundraising Seminar. This group of like-minded folks wrestled with generosity, shared encouraging moments of impact, and thought through various challenges together.

Nineteen organizations from nine states were represented in one room. What a beautiful glimpse of the missional work happening across our country, the passionate people it takes to make those missions happen, and the Lord’s sustaining hand over it all.

Some attendees were in their first few months, or even first few days, on the job. Some were decades into their careers. Others were recent college graduates. Some had years of fundraising, board, or nonprofit experience, while others were switching from the for-profit world to nonprofit work.

We also had several board members attend, which is a huge encouragement and help to their organizations.

All of these folks asked thoughtful, honest questions about the stuff we at CG&A love talking about. We covered biblical generosity, how to meet and talk with donors, how to host effective events, operations and systems, planned giving, the job of the board, strategic plans, and more.

As our friends and partners in ministry return to their homes and organizations, we pray that the philosophy and tools presented at our seminar help them move forward with the good work ahead.
