Client Spotlight: Tennessee Valley Presbytery

Almost a decade ago, Tennessee Valley Presbytery (TVP) began a church planting and church revitalization initiative. The movement is focused on sustainable, healthy church planting methods that reach the lost and renew communities. TVP covers Knoxville to Chattanooga and a small portion of northwest Georgia.

In 2022, TVP started a Church Planting Network to support the long-term well-being of the pastors, their spouses and families, and the church plants. Both the network and the new churches require funds, so fundraising is a key part of operations. 

Hutch Garmany (who planted a church in Trenton, GA) has long been involved with TVP, including serving as pastor of church planting and renewal for several years. 

He said, “CG&A really helped us grow and develop as a committee in leading church planting efforts. When we began working with CG&A, we knew where we wanted to go, we had energy and passion to move forward, but we didn’t have the know-how to execute our vision. CG&A helped us develop a fundraising plan and execute it so that we had resources to execute our mission. Also, they guided us through a long process of creating a strong culture within our committee, learning how to function well together, building the processes and procedures that guide our work of church planting, and established oversight needed to achieve our mission.”

CG&A began working with Tennessee Valley Presbytery in 2017 and since then, TVP's annual contributions have grown by over 430%. We are honored to be partnering with this church planting initiative for the past seven years.
