Client Spotlight: Oak Hill Classical School

Canaan Group & Associates began working with Oak Hill Classical School in 2023 when the school realized they needed more space. Oak Hill offers families in Dacula, GA a schooling option that cultivates wisdom, joyful learning, and love for God and others. The school’s education model is rooted in the Trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric).

Rather than immediately jumping into a capital campaign, CG&A worked with Oak Hill on two strategic items. First, we helped them build out a five-year strategic roadmap and financial plan which showed how the new facility would complement other important investments in faculty, extracurricular opportunities, and adding high school grade levels via the Rhetoric School.

Second, we helped them grow their donor base by focusing on the annual fund and installing an annual fundraising planning process. Over the course of 18 months, Oak Hill’s revenue increased by 92 percent. Now, the school has the donor base needed to execute a capital campaign.

We also performed a feasibility study for the campaign and built out the school’s development office systems, financial controls, and fundraising reporting.
